Developers assume that the medicine will treat the types of hypertension, which cannot be treated yet.

      This medicine is being developed by scientists of the Siberian State Medical University, Tomsk, and the Moscow State University.

      "It is a new Russian drug, which is nt going to be an analog of the existing medicines. It has a brand new mechanism and a new target. For the last 10 to 15 years it is the only newly synthesized drug for treatment of hypertension, but not a combination of the already known substances", - the vice rector of the Siberian State Medical University, Svetlana Gusakova, pointed out.

      According to her, scientists have managed to synthesize a new substance, on the basis of which the medicine is being framed. This is a chemical "precursor" of the thrombocyte activation factor (TAF).
