Russia and Ukraine Make Adaptation of Mentalist Series

The leads are played by Yehezkel Lazarov from Israel and Anastasia Mikulchina from Russia.

      Shooting of the 16-series Russian-Ukrainian adaptation of the detective drama Mentalist has been launched by the film director Alexey Muradov.

      The series are now filmed in Russia and will further continue in Odessa, Ukraine, the press service of the Star Film Company reported.

      The main character is 42-year-old Daniil Romanov, a consultant of the special criminal police station.

      "He is an excellent mentalist, psychologist and manipulator, who used to pretend a psychic and clairvoyant capable of reading others' minds", - the press service informs.

      As the general producer Vlad Ryashin points out, the adaptation "will differ from the original version and suit our realities as well as the mentality of our viewers".
