Festival of Northwestern Museums has been opened in the Murmansk Museum of Regional Studies today, October 12.
The festival is dedicated to the 100th anniversary since the foundation of Murmansk and the 90th anniversary of the museum.
For the first time exhibitions of the leading museums of Murmansk, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Vologda, Pskov, Veliky Novgorod, Arkhangelsk, Petrozavodsk, Naryan-Mar and Syktyvkar will be brought together in one venue.
The Keepers of History exhibition will show unique documents and photos to tell visitors about the major milestones in the history of the museum's foundation and development. Significant historical events in the life of the city will also be covered.
