Ural Mining University Will Present a 2-Billion-Year-Old Exhibit

The Ural Mining University will display ancient subsurface rocks, which are 2 billion years old.

The unusual exhibit will be located at the Geological Museum under the educational institution.

It is the rock of izrandit, which was  discovered in the South Urals for the first time. Local scientists described this type of rock back in the last century. About ten years ago the oldest sample of izrandit was found.

The visitors will also see a set of other valuable ancient rocks found in the Urals. The age of various exhibits ranges from 90 to 500 million years.
