Scientists to Look for Warriors' Graves in Kulikovo Field with Thermal Imagers

The historic Kulikov Battle Field in the Tula Region has been only 5 percent archaeologically studied, Oleg Vronsky, ScD pointed out.

Scientists will examine the area with thermal imagers for possible burial places of the Russian and Horde soldiers. The deputy director of scientific activity of the Kulikovo Field memorial estate, Andrey Naumov told about it.

According to him, the entire Kulikovo Field should be explored with thermal imagers. "This large-scale work will take more than one year. We will be able to identify the already studied sites, because we started archeological excavations back in the 1980s but did not record them anywhere. Besides we may find potential sites of anomalies", - Mr. Naumov explained.
