The burial with a unique face ornament and a bronze dagger has been unearthed in the course of archeological excavations near the Kamenka Village of the Orenburg Region. The research associate of the archaeological laboratory of the Orenburg State Teachers' Training University, Yelena Kryukova reported to TASS about it.
"The maxillofacial ornament found in the woman's burial is unique for our region. It consists of strings of bronze and vitreous faience beads with copper metal plates attached to them. Altogether there are six rows of beads that make patterns in the shape of concentric circles", - she pointed out.
According to Yelena Kryukova, it is the first find of the kind in the Orenburg Region. In those days ornaments were very expensive and were made in a very limited number. The item is planned to be restored.
As for the bronze dagger with a wooden-and-leather case, it is also a very unusul find for a woman's ancient grave.
As Elena Kryukova noted, it is unusual to women's burial.
