Researchers in the Amur Region have found a way to extract gold from coal.
A special installation engineered for this purpose makes it possible to get about 1 g of this precious metal from one ton of burnables.
This invention is planned to be put into operation as an element of the utilization system at various heat boiler systems in the Amur Region next year.
"Various components including gold impurities plate out on the filters", - researchers explained. The method has already been patented.
According to scientists, coal can be used after burning in various spheres including agricultural industry and production of fertilizers. In addition, the combustion residuals can be used for making various silicates and even extraction of aluminum.
