Wall Memorial to Alexey Balabanov Set Up in Yekaterinburg

Installation of the memorial was initiated by the former schoolmates and fans of the outstanding film director.

      The wall memorial to the Russian film director Alexey Balabanov has been set up on the building of Grammar School No. 2 of Yekaterinburg, where he used to study. This was reported by the school headmaster Svetlana Trenikhina.

      "We have decided to establish a memorial Alexey Balabanov because he is a graduate of our school of 1976. This year marks the 40th anniversary since he finished school", - Mrs. Trenikhina said. Installation of the memorial was initiated by the former schoolmates and fans of the outstanding film director.

      The memorial board features the director's black-and-white portrait against the background of black marble. It has the inscription "The Outstanding Russian Film Director Alexey Balabanov Studied Here from 1966 to 1976".
