Remake of Amphibian Man for Distribution in China

The legendary Soviet  Amphibian Man will be adopted by the Russian GlavKino Company  for the Chinese audience.

      According to its CEO, Vladislav Melnikov, the popular fantasy story will be set in China and performed by Chinese actors mostly.

      The composer Andrei Petrov's soundtrack music from the original version will be used in the remake. Lyrics of the song  about the "sea devil" will be translated into Chinese.

       The Amphibian Man based on the same-name novel by Alexander Belyaev appeared on Soviet screens in 1961. A year later, the film became a box-office hit of the Soviet distribution -  it was watched by 65 million people.
