Virtual Hermitage Presented in South Africa

Evening of Russian culture and art - Virtual Hermitage - took place in Cape Town. The event was organized by the Russian Consulate General in Cape Town and the State Hermitage Museum.

The event was visited by the South African parliamentarians, diplomats, representatives of local authorities, socio-political and business circles, as well as Russian compatriots living in South Africa. Participants had an opportunity to take a virtual tour through the halls of the Hermitage Museum and get acquainted with the best works by Russian artists.

According to the Russian Consul General in Cape Town, Roman Ambarov, true masterpieces from the Hermitage keep up their enduring value amidst the rapidly changing world.

It is a reminder that the oldest and grandest Russian museum celebrated its birthday on December 7.
