The anniversary of the renowned Russian poet should be celebrated on the federal level, the head of the Yesenin study group, Natalia Guseva claims.

      According to the scolar, Sergey Yesenin's poetry remains popular today among lots of Russians.

      She added that literary critics are involved in developing an academical concept of the project Yesenin's Russia and preparing exhibitions in the Sergey Yesenin State Museum Reserve.

      The large-scale project Yesenin's Russia will be implemented in the poet's house museum in the Village of Konstantinovo a few dozen kilometers away from Ryazan.
