The Longest Bench Will Appear In Kazan

The riverwalk with a botanical garden, a viewing platform and the longest bench in the world may appear in Kazan for the Confederations Cup 2017 and the FIFA World Cup 2018, according to the website of the city mayor's office. According to the concept of accomplishment the riverwalk adjacent to the stadium "Kazan Arena", the Water Sports Palace and Martial Arts Palace "Ak Bars" will include three areas: for sports and leisure activities, family recreation and an amusement park.

      Overall accomplishment area is about 29 hectares, and the length of the riverwalk is 2.6 km. It is expected that the sports cluster will be located closer to the stadium and include mini-soccer field, tennis courts, mini-golf and paddle tennis courts. A helipad, pier for boats, water taxis and a yacht club will be located nearby. The sports zone is proposed to continue as a wake park and artificial pools.

      Kazan – the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan – is one of the largest Russian centres of culture, science and economy. The city of Kazan hosts many industrial enterprises - aviation and chemical industry are among most developed in the region. The city also leads an active international life – it hosts Days of Finland, USA, it welcomes Orthodox culture, it cooperates with Afghanistan, Germany and Latvia. Combining East and West Kazan has residents of many nations and nationalities - here one can hear over a hundred dialects. 158 religious communities and organizations are registered in the capital of Tatarstan, four higher theological educational institutions among them. Kazan uses Moscow time.
