Ildar Abdrazakov, Russian opera singer from Bashkortostan has won the Casta Diva Award.
The famous bass has been awarded in the nomination "Singer of the Year".
He gained the award with his part of Philip II in the opera "Don Carlos" and the part of four villains in Jacques Offenbach's opera "Tales of Hoffmann" at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Theatre.
40-year-old Ildar Abdrazakov boasts the titles of The World's Best Bass, the People's Artist of Belarus, and performs a lot on European and American stages. His touring schedule is preplanned for a few years ahead.
Casta Diva Award established in 1996 is highly regarded in the music world and is meant for opera productions and opera singers only.
