Animals' Portraits Displayed in Russian Museum

The Russian Museum, St. Petersburg welcomes to an unusual photo exhibition. 

      The exhibition Portraits of Animals has been opened in the East Hall of the Mikhailovsky Castle. According to the official site of the Russian Museum, the exhibition aims to unite children and adults in common love of all creatures great and small.

      The animals' photo portraits were taken by Alexander Avalov, a member of the Russian Union of Journalists. He is the author of numerous animal pictures for children's magazines and a variety of postcard series for the publishing house "Planet".

      Next to the professional photos visitors will see children's drawings that convey their attitude towards the animal kingdom.

      The drawings by junior authors from Russia and abroad were provided by the Children's Creativity Foundation of the Russian Museum.

      Entrance to the exhibition Portraits of Animals East Hall of the Mikhailovsky Castle at the address 10, Inzhenernaya Street is free.
