Scientists from the Physiologically Active Compounds Institute, RAS hve developed a medicine that can help overcome drug addiction.

      The first batch of the innovative medicine will be available in 2023.

      Scientists say that the new medication will be more loyal to the human body than the current aggressive drugs. According to statistics, the existing medicines for addicts are  effective in 10-30 percent of cases only.

      The newly developed cure will make a patient produce specific antibodies, which will stop narcotic substances from reaching the brain centers and producing extatic states. Experts say that once a person ceases to get pleasure from drugs, it will be much easier to quit.

      The modern medicine is able to inhibit the action of complex drugs, such as heroin, morphine and desomorphine. All necessary tests on laboratory animals are yet to be carried out before curing drug addicts with the invention.
