Famous Russian singer from St. Petersburg has been nominated for the International Opera Awards 2017. It is the most important prize in the field of opera.

      Anna Netrebko will compete for the title of The Best Singer. Her opponents will be Maria Bentsoon from Scandinavia,  Stephanie D'Ustrac from France, Christiane Karg and Danielle Syndram from Germany, and Anita Rachvelishvili from Georgia.

      Among the candidates for the global award there are other Russian citizens as well. Film director Kirill Serebrennikov and MusicAeterna ensemble of the Perm Academic Theatre will take part in the award ceremony of the International Opera Awards 2017. The winners will be announced on May 7.
