This was reported at the Historical Readings conference, which took place at the State Museum of St. Isaac's Cathedral.
"In the decade from 2006 to 2016 the museum allotted 770,69 million rubles to restoration and repair of St. Isaac's Cathedral", - Olga Zharkovskaya from the museum's scientific editorial department reported.
The most large-scale works are restoration of the Cathedral's external sculptures, including 24 figures of angels and metal structures of the balustrade, restoration of its belfry with the bells' reconstruction, as well as interior works with restoration of all gemstones used in the cathedral's finishing and painting.
