The Internet Initiatives Development Fund, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia and the Internet of Things Association have jointly developed a unique "roadmap" for improving the efficiency of farming with the help of drones and proprietary radio frequencies.
The country's authorities have issued an order on the development and implementation of scientific and technical projects in the agro-industrial complex of Russia. It is intended for implementing the strategy of improving food quality in the next 10 years. The road map is presently considered by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. After that, it will be sent for final approval to the expert council.
Analysts predict that the introduction of the Internet of Things in the agrarian industry will enable Russian farmers to hugely advance their efficiency and bring their products to the international market.
The authors of the "road map" plan to launch about 20 pilot projects by 2019.
