The forum will be timed to the Year of Ecology. For a week scientists from all over Russia and abroad will share their experiences.
The 1st Climate Forum will be held in the Manege Central Exhibition Hall in August. This was reported to journalists by the head of the Nature Management and Environmental Protection Department of Moscow, Anton Kulbachevsky.
"The climate threat sounds quite serious at the world level. All megacities are concerned about this problem, and Moscow is no exception: we see that the climate is changing and having a severe impact on the system of urban economy, housing and communal services. We observe winter temperature rises above zero degrees of Centigrade; this winter it happened more than 60 times. So we are going to hold an ecological forum of Russian cities, with international experts invited, so that we can share our experience and find out what is done in other cities," - Anton Kulbachevsky said.
