The orchestra under the conductorship of Valery Gergiev will perform in Munich from March 22 to 29.
In the concert program of March 22 and 23 at the Gasteig, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra headed by the famous Russian conductor will perform the prelude to Debussy's Afternoon Rest of the Faun and Schubert and Mahler's Fourth Symphonies. The next concert will be dedicated to the Fourth Symphony by Schubert performed along with the Waltz choreographic poem and Ravel' Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in G major.
March 29 will see the final performance in Munich. A Grammy Award winner, Pierre-Laurent Emar from France will do the solo at the concert.
American tours of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and maestro Valery Gergiev will begin in Newark on April 2. On April 3 and 5 the orchestra will perform at one of the world's most prestigious concert halls, the Carnegie Hall in New York.
