The 30th Rudolf Nuriyev Classical Ballet Festival will be held in Kazan.
Sales of the festival tickets have been started in the capital city of Tatarstan Republic today. This year there are 12 performances in the program, Tatar-Inform reports. They will be held at the Jalil Opera and Ballet Theater of Kazan from the 13th to the 30th of May.
The festival will be opened with the premiere of Romeo and Juliet ballet. Premiere tickets run from 800 to 2500 rubles. The repertoire also includes Anyuta, Golden Horde, The Swan Lake, La Bayadere, Esmeralda, Giselle, and Don Quixote. Tickets to these ballets are a bit cheaper - from 500 to 2000 rubles.
On May 29 and 30 the festival will be crowned with gala concerts staged by Andris Liepa.
