Fomenko Studio to Celebrate 80th Anniversary of Bella Akhmadulina

Bella Akhmadulina, one of the brightest poet Sixtiers, would have turned 80 today, April 10, 2017.

      A commemoration gathering for the jubilee of the legendary Russian poetess will take place on the new

      stage of Pyotr Fomenko Studio in Moscow.

      Bella Akhmadulina's verses of various years will be recited by the famous film actresses Chulpan Khamatova, Aleksandra Kulikova, and Katerina Vasilyeva, as well as the actresses of Pyotr Fomenko Studio, namely Polina Agureeva, Vera Strokova, Serafima Ogareva, Galina Kashkovskaya, and Yekaterina Smirnova.

      The renowned artist Boris Messerer, who was the spouse of Bella Akhmadulina for thirty years, will share his reminiscences about her. His water color exhibition will be held in the theater's foyer.

      The pianist Alexey Garibol will present the premiere of the piano play "Bella" composed by Sergey Akhunov from Moscow specially on this occasion. Michaela Tariverdiev' legendary vocal cycle set to Bella Akhmadulina's poetry will be performed as well.
