New Direct Flights From Nizhny Novgorod To Istanbul Will Be Launched

Turkish airline Atlasglobal plans to open regular direct flights from Nizhny Novgorod to Istanbul in May, the press release of the Nizhny Novgorod Strigino airport says. The first regular flight from Nizhny Novgorod to Istanbul Ataturk Airport is scheduled for May 30. Flights will be carried out four times a week - on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The journey takes 3 hours and 30 minutes. Transportation of passengers will be carried out on A321. Ticket sales are already open.

As it was reported, Turkish low-coster Onur Air refused operating regular flights to Istanbul from Nizhniy Novgorod, Samara, Chelyabinsk and Volgograd, due to low demand. It was planned to open flights from Nizhny Novgorod since May 4 and perform them three times a week.

Nizhny Novgorod charms its visitors with the surviving Russian Revival and Stalin Empire style architecture.

It is a classic example of a site where the present benefits from, rather than denies, the past. There are more than 600 unique historic, architectural and cultural monuments in the city, included by UNESCO into the Top100 of the most historically and culturally valued cities of the world.
