More Russian Tourists Go To Paris

The tourist flow from Russia to Paris started to gain popularity in 2017, in January the French capital was visited by a record number of tourists in the last 10 years for this month, the press office of the Office for Tourism and Congresses of Paris reposrts. In November 2015, a series of terrorist acts took place in Paris, killing 130 people. The number of foreign tourists staying in the hotels of Greater Paris in 2016 decreased by 10% compared to the same figures of the previous year.

      At the end of 2016 the tourist traffic to the capital of France began to recover. In January 2017, hotels’ load in Greater Paris rose to 66.6%, or 8.4 percentage points compared to January of the last year. In February and March, the authorities of the French capital noted a similar trend, the report says.
