The Far Eastern Federal District Will Recieve State Support

The Far Eastern Federal District in 2017-2019 will receive 3.5 billion rubles for the development of culture and tourism, including 942 million rubles from the federal budget.

The corresponding funds are envisaged in the "Far Eastern section" of the state program "Development of Culture and Tourism" for 2013-2020. Of this, 942 million rubles will be allocated from the federal budget, 322 million rubles – from the budgets of the Far Eastern regions, and another 2.3 billion rubles - from extra-budgetary sources. The federal support will be given to projects to create an innovative cultural center in Vladivostok and reconstruction of the drama theater in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.

The program also provides for the creation of three tourist and recreational clusters: the Northern Mosaic in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Bolshoi Ussuriysky-Shantary Island in the Khabarovsk Territory and the Amur in the Amur Region. In the future, it is planned to create two more clusters - "Orto Doydu" in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and "Komsomolsky" in the Khabarovsk Territory.

The "Far Eastern" section of the program also provides for the support of regional and municipal institutions that require additional funding.
