Winners of Delphic Games Awarded in Yekaterinburg

The 16th Youth Delphic Games were held in the Sverdlovsk Region of Russia.

      2318 young people from 10 to 25 years of age have taken part in the international project this year.

      Teams of 76 subjects of the Russian Federation and eight CIS countries competed in arts for five days.

      In the official team championship the 6th place goes to the delegation of the Perm region, the 5th - to the Tula region, the 4th - to the Samara region, the 3rd and the 2nd - to the Novosibirsk and Sverdlovsk regions respectively. The team from Moscow takes the first prize.

      Competitions in the fields of art began in ancient Greece, in 582 BC. The modern olympics of arts has been held in Russia since 1999. Its location is changed from year to year. Yekaterinburg hosted the Delphic Games for the first time.
