Tourism Forum Will Be Held In Voronezh

The third Voronezh tourism forum will be held on May 19, where professionals of the tourism industry from different regions of Russia will gather, according to the tourist information center (TIC) of the Voronezh region. As part of the extensive business program of the forum, experts will discuss issues of domestic tourism, in particular, the development of rural and environmental tourism, as well as various aspects of the hospitality industry.

      
Particular attention is planned to be given to branding of territories, mechanisms for the creation and promotion of tourist brands.

      
In addition, it is expected to consider the best practices for the creation and promotion of tourist interregional routes and event tours. Thus, the Voronezh region is a participant of  the interregional tourist project "Central Chernozemye", which also unites the Belgorod, Lipetsk and Tambov regions.

      
In addition, representatives of travel companies, hotels and organizations providing related services in the tourism sector will be able to present their tourist products and discuss topical issues of cooperation in the workshop format.

      
The Voronezh Tourism Forum, organized by the Department of Culture of the Voronezh Region, is held annually from 2015. In 2016, more than 400 participants from 13 regions of the Russian Federation took part in it.

      


      
The city of Voronezh has been famous with talented people since very old times. Among them there are literary men, musicians, actors, painters, graphic artists, sculptors, craftsmen and art photographers. It was the birthplace of two peasant poets, who wrote some of the finest examples of Russian poetry — A. V. Koltsov (1809-1842) and I. S. Nikitin (1824-1861). There are several literary museums in Voronezh, including Nikitin House-Museum and monument to Koltsov. Voronezh is considered to be the native land of Russian regular navy fleet and Soviet paratroops. It was in Voronezh were the world’s first serial production of supersonic airplane Tu-144 and the first Soviet wide-body aircraft Il-86 was approved.  Voronezh has a number of theatres, such as A. V.Koltsov Voronezh Academic Drama Theater, Voronezh State Opera and Ballet Theater, Voronezh State Young Spectator’s Theater, Voronezh Chamber Theater and the Voronezh Puppet Theater. There is also a Stationary Circus opened in 1882 there. There are a great many museums in the city, among them the Regional Museum of Local Lore, A.L.Durov's House Museum, the Museum of Fire-Fighting, S.A.Yesenin's Public Museum, the Museum of Theatre Puppet, I.N.Kramsky Regional Art Museum, I.S.Nikitin Regional Literary Museum, History and Archeology Museum, etc.
