S7 Launched Flights From Pulkovo To Berlin

S7 Airlines launched regular flights from Pulkovo Airport (St. Petersburg) to Berlin (Tegel Airport), the press service of the Air Portal of the Northern Capital LLC reports.

      Flights are performed on Airbus A319 aircrafts three times a week: on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

      The route network of the air carrier from St. Petersburg in the current summer season includes seven destinations: Berlin, Bryansk, Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Yaroslavl.

      As reported, the regular flights from St. Petersburg to Berlin (Schönefeld Airport) are also performed by the Rossiya airline (part of the Aeroflot group).

      Siberia Airlines, in the first quarter of 2017, took the third place in terms of passenger air transportation in Russia.

Pulkovo airport, an air gate of Russian Northern capital, is a first rate air transportation center, dynamically developing one as well. It yields to Moscow airports of Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo only in the passenger traffic. It consists of two terminals, for domestic and international flights. Moreover, private jets flights are handled in Pulkovo as well. The airport is situated in 15 kilometers from the city center and is available by bus and by car. Pulkovo 1 terminal handles passengers of domestic flights and flights beyond Russian Federation (CIS and flights to foreign countries). Terminal 1 has a few levels, divided in two parts for domestic and international flights. The first level handles arrivals and luggage, the second one deals with departure. Passport control and customs clearance take place also here on the 2nd level, along with ticket sales and luggage packing. Second level is also a shopping zone. The 3rd and 4th levels provide recreation areas for passengers, including VIP lounge, mother and child room, bars, a restaurant, a hair salon, payphones, and Russian and CIS airline offices.

      
 

      
Pulkovo 2 terminal handles international flights only. It was built in the early 1950s and modernized in 1986 and 2003. Currently, Pulkovo 2 terminal is one of the largest international airport terminals in Russia. Pulkovo 2 has undergone phase one of its remodeling program, completed in May 2003.
