A New Chairlift Will Appear In the Arkhyz Resort

A new chairlift will have appeared in the tourist village of Lunnaya Polyana (“Moon Glade”) of the year-round “Arkhyz” Resort in Karachay-Cherkessia by the ski season of 2017-2018; it will become one of the most “green” chairlifts in Russia, as the “Resorts of the Northern Caucasus” JSC reported.

“The project of a highly environmentally friendly cable way was introduced in Innsbruck at the site of the international exhibition of alpine industry “Interalpin 2017”, as a part of the exposition of the LEITNER Ropeways Group. The key technical feature of the cable way will be its eco-friendly electric Leitner Direct Drive running without a reducer’s gearbox” - the statement said.
