Visitors are welcomed to spend Museum Night at the lecture hall of the Moscow Kremlin Museum in Manezhna Street on May 20.
The first part of the program - Museum Stories: What Showcases Hide - will tell about the work of restorers, exhibition curators and fund custodians. The second part of the event will be dedicated to the exhibition St. Louis and the Relics of Saint-Chapelle, which is currently taking place at the museum. The program will include lecturing and screening a documentary.
"A visit to this event will be free of charge with prior registration. We have already received a great number of applications”, - the head of the museum mentioned.
The 11th Museum Night will open in the Hermitage Garden of Moscow at 5 pm on May 20. Over 200 museums, galleries, art schools, and art centers will be opened till late night to host creative meetings, lectures, tours, performances and concerts for free.
In total, 80 regions of Russia will participate in the action. The main themes of the Museum Night 2017 are the 100th anniversary of the 1917 revolution and the Year of Ecology in Russia.
