Tourist Office Of Bahrain Opened In Moscow

The official representative office of tourism of Bahrain started to work in Russia, the press service of the organization reported.

      "Aviareps was appointed the official tourist representative of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority in Russia, the Bahrain Tourism Office was not previously represented in Russia, and for the country's tourism business the opening of the official Russian representation was an important event," the report said.

      10 million tourists annually visit  the Kingdom of Bahrain, in 2016 more than 18 thousand Russians came to the country. The tourism office plans to invest in a new market and increase the share of Russian tourists, the press service specified.

      Bahrain is famous for its religious, historical and cultural heritage, modern art, sports events of international importance, such as Formula 1, as well as gastronomic traditions and beach holidays. A direct flight from Moscow is about 4.5 hours, a tourist visa to Bahrain can be obtained upon arrival for up to 2 weeks and, if necessary, extended for the same period.
