Saturnian Rings to be Visible with Amateur Telescopes in Moscow

In the afternoon of June 15, Moscow dwellers and tourists will be able to see in detail the rings of Saturn and the Cassini division.

Amateur telescopes will suffice for that.

“At 1 pm on June 15 the Saturn will be at the antisolar point. This means that there is a unique chance to view the planet in all its details, unless, of course, the weather prevents it”, - the press service of the Moscow Planetarium informs.

The confrontation between the Sun and Saturn occurs every 378 days. That is, you can observe this phenomenon every year.

"The uniqueness of the current confrontation is that the rings of Saturn have turned in such a way that, when viewed from the Earth, they are close to their supreme opening and are visible with almost any amateur telescope," - the press service points out.
