Free Bell Ringing Concerts in St. Petersburg

 Annual bell ringing festival Music over the City traditionally takes place in the Peter and Paul Fortress.

      It will open at 7 pm on June 18 and last till June 29. Concerts will be held under the guidance of Russian carillon masters, graduates and students of the Arts Faculty of St. Petersburg State University, as well as a specially invited guest, composer Josef Willem Haasen. The concerts will be free of charge on all days, except June 24.

      The carillon of the Peter and Paul Fortress consists of 51 bells, with the sound range covering 4 octaves.
