Turkish low-coster Pegasus Airlines opened regular flights on the route Istanbul-Nizhny Novgorod, the press service of the Nizhny Novgorod airport informs. The flight program from Nizhny Novgorod airport started on the night of June 21.

Flights are scheduled to be performed three times a week. Departure from Nizhny Novgorod is on Monday - at 4:10 Moscow time, Wednesday - at 3:50, and Friday - at 4:30. The trip takes 3 hours and 30 minutes  on Boeing-737-800.

Earlier it was reported that the Turkish airline Atlasglobal in late May opened regular flights on the route Nizhny Novgorod - Istanbul. Flights are performed on the A321 liner 4 times a week (on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays).

It was also reported that the Turkish low-coster Onur Air, because of low demand, refused to operate regular flights to Istanbul from Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Chelyabinsk and Volgograd, which were planned for the opening this spring. In particular, from Nizhny Novgorod it was planned to open flights from May 4 and perform them three times a week.

Pegasus Airlines is a Turkish budget airline operating since 1989. The airline carries out regular and charter passenger air travel throughout Europe and Turkey. The main base is Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (Istanbul, Turkey).
