Poison and Radiation Resistant Robotic Scout for the Arctic Engineered

Scientists of Tomsk State University (TSU) have created a robot for examining contaminated areas, including those in the Arctics.

Gas companies and security services are already interested in the device, the press service of the university reports.

"The robot is designed to assess the potential hazards of various objects and territories. The presence of a gas analyzer and other measuring equipment makes it possible to carry out express testing, establish quantitative and qualitative composition of mixtures in the air, and identify various dangerous substances, including explosives,"- Vladimir Syryamkin, the head of the International Technical Vision Systems Laboratory comments.
