One of the world's oldest film festivals, a landmark cultural event, is held in Moscow for the 39th time.
According to tradition, the Moscow International Film Festival offers a wide variety of programs: a selection of documentaries and short-length films, an out-of-competition screening of horror and thrillers, works by prominent directors in the Masters category, and promising Russian debuts, about 30 directions altogether.
Viewers will see films by directors from India, Britain, Poland, the USA, Korea, Argentina, Canada, Russia and other countries.
The festival was opened with the Indian film epic “Bahubali. Completion”. It is going to close with the demonstration of Sofia Coppola’s “Fatal temptation" featuring Colin Farrell, Kirsten Dunst, Nicole Kidman and El Fanning.
The screenings will be held at the cinema theaters KARO 11 October, Cosmos and the Central House of Artists.
The festival is being held from June 22 to June 29.
