Denis Matsuyev Awards Grants of New Names Fund to 4 Young Ural Musicians

The best young musicians have been selected following the results of master classes held by the leading professors of the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory and the Gnessin Russian Music Academy.


Renowned pianist Denis Matsuyev, the president of the Interregional Charity Fund "New Names" came to Yekaterinburg for participation in the festival Denis Matsuyev Presents... that was held there from June 25 to June 27.


"We have handed four grants today - it is a very good result” – the music star said .


12-year-old flutist Aleksandra Lentsevich from Revda, 12-year-old balalaika player Denis Dubrovsky from Kirovgrad, 13-year-old bayan player Artem Yakimov from Lesnoy and 12-year-old pianist Alexander Valov from Yekaterinburg have become scholars of the fund New Names.


Alexander Valov has also been invited to the International creative summer school "New Names" in Suzdal, which is going to hold its 25th anniversary season this year.
