More than 500 young scientists, nearly 240 youth research groups and 31 laboratories have won contests of the Presidential Research Program in Russia.
This was reported about by the press service of the Russian Science Foundation on Wednesday.
"Based on the results of the three contests of the Presidential Program, 504 initiative projects of young scientists have been supported, amounting to 1.5-2 million rubles annually, 239 youth scientific groups with funding of 3-5 million rubles and 31 laboratories financed with 30 million rubles from the Foundation in 2017,"- the report reads.
The results of the competition show that the traditional sciences for Russia, physics and mathematics, have been replaced with natural sciences. The majority of winners are into medicine, chemistry, biology and engineering.
