Alexander Hant from Khanty-Mansiysk has taken the Grand Prix at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival in with his debut feature.

      The feature film How Viktor “The Garlic” Took Alexey “The Stud” to the Nursing Home was authored by Alexei Borodachev and shot at the Producer Center “VGIK-Debut”. The leads were performed by Russian actors Yevgeny Tkachuk and Alexei Serebryakov. The film by Alexander Hant is a story about an orphanage guy who is still embittered with the whole world when he is 27 years old. At first he dreams of escaping from his long suffering wife and their little son who disturb him and then he decides to take his own father, an ex-convict, to a nursing home in order to get hold of dad’s apartment. Alexander Hant's satirical road movie is the debut work, which made him famous overnight.
