The International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2017 introduces a high-speed civil aircraft model that gives an idea of the future passenger aviation.
It has been engineered by experts of the Zhukov Central Aerohydrodynamics Institute in the framework of the Hexafly-Int international project.
It represents a new generation of supersonic passenger airliners, the ZCAI press service reports.
Experts expect that such an aircraft can perform transatlantic flights with the cruising speed of no less than 1900 km/h for distances of up to 8600 km. Its cabin will be transformed from an 80-seater to a 20-seater of VIP level. At the same time, it will meet all the upcoming standards regarding noise and atmospheric emissions.
