Russian Culture Ministry and Orthodox Church to Promote Russian Classics

The RF Culture Ministry and the Patriarchal Council for Culture are launching the project Pushkin Union. One of its major goals is to reignite the younger generation’s interest in the Russian classics.


      

The Pushkin Union will unite all-Russian funds and associations of arts: the Society of Russian Literature, the Union of Artists, the Union of Composers, the Union of Architects, the Applied Arts Foundation, the Union of Theater Workers and the Union of Cinematographers.

      

      


      

It is planned to promote production of films based on the classics of Russian literature, increasing the number of performances in theaters’ repertoire, carnival arts, animation projects and multimedia exhibitions.
