Tourists In St. Petersburg Will be Able to Visit a Legal Excursion On the Roof of the Historic Building

Tourists in St. Petersburg will be able to visit a legal excursion on the roof of the historic building, the Interfax-Tourism portal was informed at the City Tourist Information Bureau. With the support of the Committee for the Development of Tourism in St. Petersburg, the excursion was organized on the roof of the Ekimov House - a historic building on Ligovsky Prospekt, 65.

"To do this, the entrepreneurs had  to restore the roof and lay the paths, fencing them with safety rails. This is the only roof of the apartment house,  where excursions are officially permitted," the bureau said.

Tourists are met and lead by an experienced guide to the top, they climb the height of the eight-story building on foot. Tourists receive helmets, and a first aid kit with medicines is also available, guests are introduced to the rules of behavior on the roof.

St. Petersburg's dominants such as St. Isaac's Cathedral, Spas-on-the-Blood, Peter and Paul Fortress and the modern Lahta Center will be seen.

The duration of the tour is one hour, during this time visitors will find out about the city, its legends and history. The organizers plan to attract as many foreign tourists as possible.
