The anniversary 25th film festival "Window to Europe" will be held in Vyborg, Russia from August 6 to 12.

Russian actor Sergei Bodrov, Jr has been chosen to be the symbol of the film festival this year. This was reported by the event program director Alisa Strukova.

According to her, when choosing the symbol of the film festival, the organizers immediately remembered the works by film director Alexei Balabanov. "And the symbol of Balabanov’s cinema is his main character - Danila Bagrov  played by Sergei Bodrov, Jr" - Alisa Strukova said.

The general producer of the "Window to Europe" festival, Gevorg Nersisyan, stated that Bodrov Jr. is currently "the only serious star of our cinema".

In the framework of this festival, 130 documentaries, animated and feature films will be screened.
