Kazan Kremlin will Host Brass Band Festival

The 6th International Festival "Fanfares of Kazan" will be held at the Kazan Kremlin on August 25 and 26.


      

It is reported on the official website of the Kazan Kremlin. The program includes a brass band parade and a concert orchestra performance. The audience will listen to the music pieces by Tatar composers, as well as hymns of Russia and the Republic of Tatarstan.


      

Eighteen orchestras will take part in the festival. The first three of them will be from the Central Military District of the Russian Defense Ministry.


      

Among the foreign guests there is the Showcase Orchestra of the National Guard of the Kazakhstan Republic and the Mehter Orchestra of the Istanbul Ensemble of Turkish Historical Music. The latter one is considered the first military orchestra in the world.
