Actress Vera Glagoleva Passed Away

After a long illness, the famous Russian stage and film actress Vera Glagoleva died at the age of 62. Her death has been reported today, August 16. According to the media, the actress died of cancer.


"It happened after a long lasting illness," - her husband Cyril Shubsky said. Vera Glagoleva died in a clinic near Baden Baden, Germany.


      Vera Glagoleva was one of the most memorable figures of the Soviet and Russian cinema. She played in more than 50 films, among them "Do not Shoot White Swans", "Coming Down from Heaven", "Umbrella for the Newlyweds", and "To the Ends of the World".


The actress collaborated with outstanding film directors, such as Rodion Nakhapetov, Anatoly Efros, Igor Talankin, Semyon Aranovich, Alla Surikova, Naum Birman, and Vitaly Melnikov.
