Modern Sculpture Exhibition at Tretyakov Gallery

The exposition, which runs at the museum from August 23 to October 8, includes 124 art works of wood, bronze and stone.

The State Tretyakov Gallery has for the first time in 30 years presented a large-scale exhibition of modern sculpture, "Five Dimensions".

"The last exhibition of modern sculpture was held in the Tretyakov Gallery 30 years ago." "Five dimensions" is a cut of contemporary sculpture, both traditional and figurative, "- the curator Irina Sedova said. It was important for organizers to show the experiment inherent in modern sculpture, she noted.

Among the authors who presented their works, there are not only world-known artists, such as Alexander Rukavishnikov, Zurab Tsereteli or Viktor Korneyev. The exhibition presents their works along with those by novice masters and recent art graduates.

The exhibition "Five Dimensions" runs at the Tretyakov Gallery in Krymsky Val Street from August 23 to October 8, 2017.
