The International Alexander Vampilov Modern Drama Festival will be held in Irkutsk from September 17 to 24.
Theatre lovers will see the stage productions by companies from South Korea, Mongolia, Italy, France, Japan, Uzbekistan and a number of Russian cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kemerovo, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, and Irkutsk.
The festival program will include performances after writings by Vampilov, Rasputin, Shukshin, Gurkin, Platonov, and other authors.
The festival will run in four venues, namely the main and chamber stages of the Nikolai Okhlopkov Irkutsk Academic Theater, and large and small stages of the Alexander Vampilov Irkutsk Regional Theater.
