The creators of the cryptorouble could be developing a project on the basis of a new technopark in Sosnovy Bor, which is being formed on the place of the Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).

This was announced on Tuesday,  by the Governor of the Leningrad Oblast Aleksandr Drozdenko. “We have been pondering a lot about how to use the place in the future, including for a modern technopark, and now an idea emerged to offer using this platform for the creation of innovative energy-intensive industries” - Drozdenko said.

The sites that will be vacated during the NPP construction will be available in 2018, he specified. In addition to the IT cluster, the place may involve high-tech industries in the field of radiomedicine and pharmacology.
