In 2017, the paintings by Russian contemporary artists have been in a greater demand than ever before.

      Forbes published a rating of the most successful Russian artists. The list is posted on the Forbes website.

      Valery Koshlyakov ranks first on the list. His works’ sales volume over this year has amounted to 147.6 thousand euros. His paintings had not been exhibited in Russia for a long time, until the exposition in the Museum of Russian Impressionism in 2016 regained him the status of the most recognizable contemporary Russian artist.

      Vladimir Potapov from Moscow with the income of 117 thousand euro over this year ranks second.
