10 new river trams will start to run along the Moskva River with the opening of summer navigation in 2018, their launch will coincide with the Football World Cup, as the web-site of the Moscow Mayor’s Office reported on Thursday.

River trams will have climate control and a telescopic glass roof. Depending on the weather, the roof can be pulled out or folded, by the same principle as the roofs of convertible automobiles. Each of the river vessels will be painted separate bright color of rainbow, as well as pink, lilac and burgundy. Each river cabriolet will accommodate 44 passengers, they will be equipped with audio guides in nine languages. It is planned that the cost of a trip will make up 500 roubles. The traffic interval of new river trams will be half an hour, they will run between the piers at the “Hotel Ukraina” and Novospassky Bridge. As soon as the construction of the Dreamworks park is complete, the trams will run to the Nagatinskaya floodplain as well.
